Kisung Koh Explores the Inner Worlds of Animals

Kisung Koh's storybook-like artworks combine both traditional painting and digital techniques, creating narratives that focus on the animal world. The somewhat naive subject matter becomes more complex with Koh's visual twists. His artworks combine several styles, alternating between realistically filled-out figures, squiggly masses of color and child-like doodles in the background. The Ontario-based artist seeks inspiration in nature, illustrating the richness of the animal world with vividly-hued, abstract flourishes. Take a look at his recent work after the jump.
