Preview: Mike Davis and Henry Lewis at Varnish Fine Art

This Saturday, March 2, Varnish Fine Art in San Francisco will open a two-person show by Mike Davis and Henry Lewis. Both inspired by the art of the Baroque and the Middle Ages, the artists narrate personal struggles and life experiences in their work. While Davis' approach to surrealism echoes the style of the Northern Renaissance, Lewis imbues antiquated imagery with an expressive style that incorporates elements of graffiti and abstraction. Take a look at some images from the show courtesy of Varnish Fine Art after the jump and check out the exhibition March 2-April 13.
