Lindsey Carr’s ‘Homage to Canton’

Since we first featured the art of Lindsey Carr earlier this year (seen here), Hi-Fructose has been greatly looking forward to the Scottish artist's next show, which luckily for us, opens this evening (Saturday, September 10th) at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City. The show, entitled 'Homage to Canton', invokes the spirit of exploration and natural sciences, an alternate history in which Walton Ford and Albertus Seba accompanied Marco Polo to the land of the Orient. Get a look at some of our favorite works from the show after the jump, and be sure to visit 'Homage to Canton', as well as the three person show featuring the realism of Aaron Nagel, Jeff Ramirez and Jennifer Nerhbass, both on view until October 1st.
