New Work by Sergio Mora

Painter and children's book illustrator Sergio Mora immerses himself in a world of whimsy, creating paintings that allude to playful, offbeat narratives with doses of unexpected glamor and sexuality. Since we visited his studio in Barcelona last year, the artist has developed a new series of paintings titled "Las Musas" ("The Muses"). For "Las Musas," Mora and his partner/studio mate, sculptor Lusesita, both created works inspired by one another, each simultaneously playing the part of the artist and the muse. Take a look at some paintings from "Las Musas," as well as other recent works by Sergio Mora.
