The Naked Cities of Miru Kim

Korean American photographer Miru Kim has recently reemerged into the spotlight with her 'Pig' series (in which the artist lives naked alongside sows, an installation we were lucky enough to catch in person recently during Art Basel Miami) however we wanted to take a look back at the first project by the artist that caught our eye, the Naked City. From the Tour Saint-Jacques in Paris to the Manhattan Bridge, Kim travels the world, exploring the arteries of the urban organism, the bridges, tunnels and forgotten factories of cities around the world are explored as people and commerce move through or away from them. The artist undresses fully and humanizes the forgotten and often uncredited cold city landscapes in a beautiful photographic journey. Get a look at some of our favorite images from around the world after the jump.
