Behind the Scenes with Mike Davis and Purbred Productions

by Ken HarmanPosted on

Mike Davis‘ artwork is a culmination of a mastery of mediums, all learned over the course of decades. From humble beginnings as a set designer to world renown as a tattoo artist and more recently as an exhibiting fine artist, Davis repertoire across many fields undoubtedly serve as much of his appeal. Much as Davis can utilize multiple mediums to create a greater product, so too can magic happen if mediums are combined in just the right way.

We’ve featured the photography of PureBred Productions on the site before (here), however, their recent portrait of Davis (seen above) so perfectly captures the artist’s style (essence even) that we simply had to delve further into their work and process. Join Hi-Fructose contributing photog Shaun Roberts as he gets a behind the scenes look at the Mike Davis photoshoot.
