Tom Thewes is an artist that currently lives and works in Detroit, Michigan. He creates highly detailed paintings and murals with spray paint. As Owner and CEO he has been very involved in the ©POP Gallery. ©POP Gallery, located in Detroit's Midtown Cultural Center, was one of the first art galleries in the country that was dedicated to showcasing the “lowbrow” aesthetic. The gallery has featured many top artists such as Mark Ryden, Robert Williams, Eric White, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, Isabel Samaras, Shag, Shephard Fairey, Ron English, Bask, Yumiko Kawikawa, and more.
