Studio Visit with Eric Joyner

Hi-Fructose recently paid a visit to the San Francisco studio space of painter Eric Joyner, most commonly known for his paintings populated with a roster of robots and delectable donuts. The latest body of work, ‘It’s a Jungle Out There,’ Joyner departs from the safe suburban confines of civilization, which he explored in 2010’s ‘Donut Logic,’ transporting his subjects to the wilds in a showing inspired by his recent visit to Thailand. ‘It’s a Jungle Out There’ will debut this coming weekend, Saturday, January 21st, at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City. Get a look inside the artist’s personal jungle, here on Hi-Fructose.
