Opening tomorrow night in NYC’s Arcadia Gallery is a solo exhibition of new works by artist Aron Wiesenfeld (Vol 14) Continuing on his themes of isolation and psychological transformation within this solitude, the new drawings and paintings focus on elongated figures, depicted with unsettling stoic gazes as they find themselves amid the perils of the unknown, often of their own making. Whether fashioned with a crown of fire, an ominous mouth brace or wading out into the rough waters of the sea, each character appears transfixed on finding their own fates.
