Group Show Pays Homage to Bosch Masterwork

With more than 30 artists in tow, Outré Gallery pays tribute to Hieronymus Bosch's masterwork "Within The Garden of Earthly Delights" in a new group show. Each artist has taken aspects of the work and crafted a piece within their own sensibilities, whether a few characters in the painting, an entire panel, or just one of its themes. The line-up includes Allison Sommers, Alex Eckman-Lawn, Alex Kuno, Hi-Fructose co-founder Annie Owens, Bill Crisafi, Brackmetal, Brandi Milne, Brad Gray, Charles Schneider, Davor Gromilovic, Ian Ferguson, Jesse Jacobi, Kiko Capile, Medusa Wolf, Meagan ‘Magpie’ Rogers, Moon Patrol, Nathan Reidt, Paul Barnes, Parker S. Jackson, Peca, Travis Lampe, and several others.

The gallery on the original painting: “Visionaries heavily influenced by the triptych include artists like Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, René Magritte and Max Ernst, to director Guillermo Del Toro, and couturier Alexander McQueen, amongst many others. The artists in this show have reimagined the triptych in their own voice. … The artists have delved deeply into the artwork, the figures, the creatures and all the surreal details.”

San Francisco's 111 Minna Gallery is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a massive group show in October. Numbering more than 40, the gallery says the artist roster represents “the culmination of its aesthetic.” The show kicks off Oct. 5 and runs through Oct. 20.

The massive group show Laluzapalooza has returned at La Luz De Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. With more than 160 works from more than 60 artists, this show says it offers "the most exclusive selection of tastefully, jam-packed, salon-style exhibited works in Post-Pop." Jorge Dos Diablos, Dave Lebow, D.W. Marino, VegA, and Win Wallace are among the names in the line-up.

In a new group show, Beinart Gallery offers a survey of artists working today in Australia. "Flow," running through Dec. 22, includes sculpture, paintings, drawings, and more. “We are passionate about raising the profiles of artists based in Australia to an international stage through our worldwide network of collectors and enthusiasts,” the gallery adds.
