“Lethal Injection” at 111 Minna Preview

Robert Bowen On August 3, 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco will premiere "Lethal Injection," a four-person show featuring artists Robert Bowen, Philip Lawson, Isaac Pierro and Nicolas Giraud. In their new work, the four artists revel in vice. The bright, explosive 2D pieces by Bowen, Pierro and Giraud and Lawson's AK47 light sculptures make it clear exactly why it is often tempting to stray from the straight and narrow. With elements of sexuality, violence and drugs cropping up in the four artists' work, the show merges thrill-inducing badassitude with surrealism and an innovative aesthetic vocabulary. A sneak peek and artists' talk will take place at the gallery on August 1 and tickets may be purchased online; the opening on August 3 will be free to the public.
