@hannie.letranger Inspired by @thehistorymagpie we visited Joseph Grimaldi Park to see the grave of one of the founders of the modern ‘clown’ character. These musical installations were created as a memorial to his performance legacy 🤡 You are encouraged to dance on them! (The actual grave is nearby, these are just an art piece!) #clowns #londonhistory #spooky #theatrehistory

Beware the Yokai in Kyoto!
Via @marvintransit
Hyakki Yagyo 🇯🇵✨👺 Hyakki Yagyo is a procession of Yokai that roam the streets of Japan at night. This event is held just a few times a year in Kyoto and I was lucky enough to spot the announcement just the day before so I made sure that I could go. Yokai is an umbrella term used for devils, monsters, ghosts, and supernatural creatures in Japanese culture. They’ve become popular not only in Japan but also throughout the world because of the popularity of Japanese anime and manga where these characters appear. Events such as this are organized by The Yokai Art Group Hyakuyoubako. They are composed of volunteers who are Yokai enthusiasts. #marvintransit #japan #kyoto #yokai #yokaiparade
