The wild oil paintings of Kit Mizeres return in a new show at Arch Enemy Arts. “Farewell Transmission” explores the concept of solitude, with new works packed with mythological symbols and inspiration from the artist’s travels. Mizeres was last mentioned on HiFructose.com here.
“’Farewell Transmission’ is a body of work meant to serve as a vehicle that heavily reflects the anxiety, loneliness and often very mundane aspects of my time spent living on the road this past year,” the artist says. “I am in a constant state of departure, I have come to realize, and am no stranger to saying my farewells at this point in my life. I wanted to transmute all of those disquieting and conflicting emotions experienced during my many moments of uncertainty and attempts of self-reliance and understanding.”
The show runs through June 28. See more works from the show below.
