Mr. Everybody’s Stark Paintings Offer Pops of Vibrancy

by Andy SmithPosted on

Mr. Everybody’s paintings offer a clash of bleak imagery and playful vibrancy. The works, often minimalist in execution, tell of both street art and classical influences, with elegant figures and pop culture iconography playing a role. The artist’s own practice feels at home on both a gallery wall and a public wall.

“Shane Everybody (Mr. Everybody) is an Irish born self-taught artist,” a statement from The Underdog Gallery says. “Whilst growing up around the graffiti scene in Ireland, from an early age Mr. Everybody decided to take a different direction and throughout his teenage years he choose to study classical drawing and oil painting techniques which led to a very natural approach to the development of his work.”
