Rob Sato Offers New, Vibrant Works in ‘Arco Iris’

by Andy SmithPosted on

This month, Rob Sato returns to Giant Robot with a new body of work under the title “Arco Iris.” These watercolor works tackle the differing significance of rainbows through several lenses. (Sato’s work is part of the upcoming Hi-Fructose Collected 4 box set, here.) The gallery and company says that this new show “marks another radical shift in style for the artist.”

“These meditative but electrifyingly chromatic paintings are a fresh, expansive continuation of Rob’s established themes of transition and transformation mixed with some keen observations on human behavior made with his characteristic blend of joy, disgust, melancholy and humor,” a statement says.

This show opens on Oct. 21. See more of his new works below.
