Colombian designer Dani Aristizábal creates confectionary digital works of art that convincingly play with various textures. Glossy and pastel-hued, the world he creates in his work has a utopian quality. One of the most remarkable features of his fictional universe, however, is that there are no human inhabitants. Everything appears to function on its own, without our intervention, and the closest we get to seeing a person are the metallic, disembodied hands that could very well belong to a robot. His work is like a mad scientist’s vision of an ideal society that has evolved past the limitations of human imperfection.
