Inge Vandormael’s Bold Pen-and-Ink Drawings

Sticking to a strict palette of black, white and red, Inge Vandormael creates pen and ink drawings with geometric precision. Symmetrical, mandala-like designs inspired by Buddhist art and other Asian religious imagery are rendered with painstaking line work and filled with minute details. Vandormael cites the cyclical nature of life and death as her primary inspiration. Her subject matter is not morbid, but rather symbolic.
