The work of artist Olga Ziemska has a special relationship with the natural world.  Natural materials such as wood, sand, and stone comprise much of her work.  However, it is in synthesizing aspects of humanity with the natural world that Ziemska’s work is especially effective.  In a poetic style similar to her artwork she describes her work via artist statement saying:

“Returning meaning back to nature. Making the human body a part of the whole, not the whole part.  Blending the body in. Showing how easily it can mesh, morph and disappear.  The body is nothing without that which surrounds it.  This is an ever-changing reflection.” See more of Olga Ziemska’s work after the jump.
