Tyler Spangler creates hyperactive digital collages that blend together a chaos of original patterns and designs with snippets of found photographs. While some collage artists pride themselves in cutting their images by hand, Spangler’s work is laborious in a different way. It fuses together myriad patterns of texture and color that the artist digitally renders, rather than obtaining the bulk of the collage material from secondary sources.
