Preview: “Beyond Eden” Multi-Gallery Event in LA

For one weekend only, four Californian galleries are joining forces for "Beyond Eden," a showcase at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park. Featuring C.A.V.E. Gallery (Venice, CA), Copro Gallery (Santa Monica, CA), Spoke Art (San Francisco, CA) and Thinkspace (Culver City, CA), the event will provide a sampling of work each gallery's represented artists. While the four galleries are known for their affinity for pop surrealist painting, the scope of Beyond Eden is much broader — from Joel Phillips's large-scale drawings shown with Spoke Art to the monster microcosms of Curiot (HF Vol. 29) in Thinkspace's roster. Organized by Thinkspace co-owner and curator Andrew Hosner, "Beyond Eden" will have an opening reception with live painting 5-11 pm on October 12 and will be available for viewing on October 13. Take a look at a sneak peek of the work in the event after the jump.
