Brooklyn-based artist Jeila Gueramian prefers tactile ways of working. For her current solo show, “Let’s Go Further” at Allegra LaViola Gallery in New York City, the artist created a series of off-kilter latch-hook rugs, installations and lightboxes with an implied narrative. Referencing stop-motion animation and set design, Gueramian uses traditional crafting techniques to bring her whimsical imagery into the 3D realm. Take a look at some of her work below.
