Wei Yan’s “Transparency” Series

Based in Beijing, Chinese artist Wei Yan is an Academy Award-winning illustrator who works in a variety of disciplines. While Wei Yan is best known for her work with Levi's, Adidas and other global brands, she is also a fine artist. Based on biology, her "Transparency" series is a colorful, glowing ode to the powers of nature rendered in acrylic on canvas. Yan exposes the bones and muscles of brawny animals that shine like neon signs seen from afar in the darkness. Take a look at some of Wei Yan's work after the jump.
