X-Ray Graffiti by Shok-1

Street artist Shok-1 has been weilding a spray can since the ’80s and shows off his precision with aerosol in his series of x-ray-inspired murals. Playing with the translucent nature of spray paint, Shok-1 geometrically arranges femur bones, vertebrae and even insects in abstract patterns. Like his contemporaries Doze Green and Kofie, Shok-1 takes inspiration from the early 20th-century avant-garde movement, referencing the explosive abstract compositions of the Futurists with his meticulously-painted nebulas of floating forms.
