Opening Night: “Zombie” Curated by Travis Louie at Last Rites Gallery

Known for his obsession with monsters, painter Travis Louie recently curated a group show at Last Rites Gallery titled "Zombie" where he invited a wide range of artists — from Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters to Chet Zar to Charlie Immer — to create work surrounding the theme of the undead. The show opened on May 25, and while some artists went in the morbid direction, others created quietly haunting works or even opted for gory satire. See more of the artwork and take a look at some opening night photos courtesy of Paola Duran after the jump. "Zombie" will be on view at Last Rites Gallery through June 26.
