Preview: Mark Gleason’s “Darklands” at La Luz de Jesus

Painter Mark Gleason presents a dark, nocturnal world in his latest body of work, cultivating a shadowy, suggestive environment where humans and reptiles intermingle and something sinister looms on the horizon. Gleason is opening a solo show at Los Angeles’ La Luz de Jesus on May 3 titled “Darklands” that explores the humans relationship with nature, apprehending fears of the unknown corners of the wilderness.
