Colin Christian
Rome’s Dorothy Circus Gallery has a four-person show opening on April 20 that focuses on the female figure as a divine force. Presented as a dual solo show, “God is Her Deejay” couples Sas and Colin Christian for “Side 1” of the show and Italian artist Francesca Romana Di Nunzio with Iranian artist Afarin Sajedi for “Side 2.” Both working in sculptural media, Colin Christian presents futuristic, fiberglass heroines while Francesca Romana Di Nunzio opts for a more organic aesthetic. Sas Christian’s paintings of doll-like characters complement Colin Christian’s exaggerated figures, and Sajedi’s works echo elements of Di Nunzio’s earthy sculptures.
