Tania Blanco’s Visceral Acrylic Paintings

Spanish artist Tania Blanco turns to the nervous system for inspiration for her surreal acrylic paintings. The human anatomy becomes scrambled and reversed; we see brains and dissected eyeballs morphing into faces and fusing with limbs. The result not only brings a visceral quality to the work, but also creates a futuristic, sci-fi ambiance with its visualization of the human mind expanding past the physical limits of the body.
