Preview: Joshua Petker’s “Drunk on the Moon” at Shooting Gallery

This Saturday, Joshua Petker's solo show "Drunk on the Moon" will debut in Shooting Gallery's project room alongside the White Walls 10 Year Anniversary Show that will span across both White Walls and Shooting Gallery. A meditation of sorts, Petker's new series of paintings combine layers of imagery that result in a cacophony of figuration and abstraction. "What starts out as obvious representational imagery becomes finessed into a reconstructed mess, leaving only a record of the undefined and a recapitulation of the human attempt at finding peace through process," said the artist.
