Herb Williams creates fluorescent installations using crayons, building structures that mimic coiling, winding natural forms. His works use a mixture of abstraction and figuration, interpreting the sensory qualities of music and nature through these immersive environments. The brightly colored crayons give his work a fantastical, psychedelic dimension. Some of his installations visualize sound; explosions of color burst out of pianos and interpret musical instruments and frequencies.
