Installation artist and sculptor Alejandro Almanza Pereda strips objects of their original meaning, rearranging them into clean, geometric structures. Almanza Pereda uses a wide range of both utilitarian and rare fine art objects — his artwork Strip the Rod and Spoil the Child (pictured above) contains bowling balls, lamps and books as well as 17th-century Chinese pottery and a 20th-century Iranian wool rug. But rather than creating chaos from these disparate materials, Almanza Pereda creates sleek designs that function as visual puzzles of sorts. Take a look at some images of his artwork below.
