Combining collage, textile, drawing and painting techniques, Dan-ah Kim‘s latest body of work wraps one in a soft ambiance reminiscent of a dreamlike haze. The works for her upcoming solo show at Thinkspace in Culver City, “Perennial Winds,” reach into the art history of Eastern and Western traditions alike and interweave antiquated elements with a contemporary aesthetic. “Perennial Winds” opens on January 12, but until then, take a look at a few shots of Kim’s works-in-progress and her studio courtesy of Thinkspace below.
