Animals at War is a body of work created by artist Martin Kalanda. His pencil drawings on illustration board feature animals with exaggerated gestures in strange and imaginative positions that remind us of the angst of war. Kalanda often inserts combat vehicles, war ships, or planes into the backgrounds of his highly detailed drawings. With his vibrant depictions of animals he is able to represent our chaotic world in an unexpectedly cheerful way.
