The Cinematic Paintings of Chris B. Murray

Philadelphia-based artist Chris B. Murray creates striking visuals with a narrative aspect. Like stills from a fantasy thriller, the scenes he depicts seem to catch his protagonists at carefully staged moments, making the viewer privy to enchanted happenings that could only be the results of a surrealist imagination. His glossy painting style gives this fictional realm its own visual vernacular that borders on caricature. Take a look at some images of his work after the jump.
