To get us into the spirit of Halloween a bit early, well-known illustrator, painter and cartoonist Gary Baseman will open a solo show titled “Gary Baseman’s Nightmares of Halloween Past” at the new art space KK Gallery in Los Angeles’ Chinatown on October 20. A major Halloween enthusiast (to say the least), Baseman will exhibit his collection of vintage Halloween photographs, some of which date back to 1915, as well as original paintings, videos, installations and special edition prints. In addition to being an early celebration of what is perhaps one of the most fun holidays of the year, the exhibition will be the gallery’s inaugural show.
