A continuation of his well-known “Inside Out” street art project, JR (featured in HF Vol. 18) recently visited Hong Kong to create some new works on the streets and debut his solo show, “Pattern,” at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin on September 18. Following the humanist theme that has made JR famous (and won him the TED Prize in 2011), JR’s new series of works continue his exploration of individuality and community across the world. Adding a new element of texture to his photographs, the artist experimented with cast aluminum for the gallery portion of the works. Take a look at some images of JR’s latest work courtesy of Galerie Perrotin, Hong Kong and Paris.
