Earlier this year, German artist duo Herakut (featured in Hi-Fructose Vol. 17) collaborated with the avant-garde theater troupe The Lucent Dossier Experience, creating a one-of-a-kind installation that was incorporated into the company’s Los Angeles shows. Featuring elements of burlesque, acrobatics and surrealist costume design, Lucent Dossier’s penchant for enveloping the viewers in otherworldly surroundings challenged the artists to create a work that could become a part of the performance itself.
