Party Favors
Sean Norvet has a very unique artistic vision. His grotesque artistic language is raw and has a quality that pulls the viewer in. Norvet grew up in Los Angeles, CA and from an early age he was influenced by his father’s Rick Griffin posters and Zap comics. Norvet depicts his figures with precision and humorous detail. His crowded sketches read as a commentary on society with unwavering reminders of the bleak realities of life. Party Favors is a wonderful example of this dark humor, the drawing depicts an old man who is presented with a “You’re Dying” birthday cake. – Jane Kenoyer
