Using reference images from environmental magazines and abstractions of shipping containers, artist Mary Iverson’s (Vol. 22) newest body of work ‘Calamity’ opening at Shooting Gallery on February 11, speaks of an ongoing environmental discourse. The juxtaposition of images; of beautiful birds’ eye views of America’s landscapes and sharp grids “presents a post-apocalyptic vision, suggesting a potential outcome and deleterious effects of our global economy.” View more preview images below.
