Buff Monster x The Standard

There’s A New Buff Monster Mural (and Dessert) at The Standard Downtown. The Standard hotels of Los Angeles are longtime supporters of the city’s eclectic arts scene, this week debuting Tim Biskup’s The Box installation in Hollywood, and Buff Monster’s 6th Street Mural in Downtown Los Angeles. Buff Monster shared the process that went into his new wall with Hi-fructose, a 2-day feat accomplished with the help of his friends and videographer. The mural is a site specific piece of artwork featuring Buff’s signature character journeying through a landscape of sweets- and a glimpse of motifs to come. Buff Monster is currently preparing for his next solo exhibition at Corey Helford gallery, opening April 14th, 2012. To celebrate, The Standard Downtown’s restaurant is serving a Buff Monster dessert while the wall is up. Buff Monster’s 6th Street Mural mural is on view for one month. - Caro
