Drawing from her vibrant color palette, artist Tasha Kusama (who we recently posted about here) is showing striking new portraits in a group exhibition ‘Life Is A Casino’ at Copenhagen’s MOHS Exhibit Gallery, opening this Friday. Each portraits reveals a featureless bust, in lieu of personality defining facial expression, the ‘skin’ is wallpapered with dense graphics or natural imagery, adding an unsettling lifelessness. Pop cultural references and jeweled accessories balance out these colorful voids of expression, revealing an intriguing twist on indentity. View more of the portraits below.
