UK based artist and ceramicist Barnaby Barford (who we last featured here) has just debuted his latest body of work at the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Entitled ‘The Big Win: A Modern Morality Tale’ Barford’s series of ceramic sculpture features an intriguing narrative following the rise and fall of a roustabout who finds himself winning the lottery. Loosely based on ‘A Rake’s Progress,’ Barford has added an interactive element to the show by leaving the final sculpture blank and allowing input from visitors to influence the final chapter in the tale. Get a detailed look at the works below and be sure to view the show in person before it’s finale next year.
