Ryan McLennan’s “Abominations”

by Ken HarmanPosted on

We’ve been big fans of Ryan Mclennan‘s work for a while, so much so that we actually interviewed the Brooklyn-based artist earlier this year (seen here.) Now on view at Joshua Liner Gallery is ‘Abominations’ the second solo show by McLennan with the gallery. In this latest body of work the artist continues his exploration of the natural world, where his subject’s actions are more akin to parables of human nature than the field guide drawings of a naturalist which they invoke. ‘Abominations’ ends this week, November 19th, if you can’t make it out to see the show in person, view some of our favorite works below and stay tuned for a full feature on the artist in the upcoming Hi-Fructose Volume 22.
