Brian McCarty’s War Toys

For the past several years, photographer Brian McCarty has reached a bit of cult-like status in the collectible vinyl world. His elaborately staged toy photography has caught the eyes of countless fans, artists, vinyl figure producers and has even warranted a retrospective book, "Art Toys." As the collectible toy world evolves, so to has the photography of McCarty, who has for the past year been traveling to war torn areas of the world and using his talents as a photographer to recreate the art therapy produced by the affected children of the region. The results are stunning and the cause is heart breaking, view a short video on McCarty's "War Toys" project featured on CNN here.

To help further fund the new project, McCarty has created a Kickstarter campaign which you can view here. As a thank you to large donors, McCarty has produced an exquisitely packaged folio of prints housed in a military medical kit with plastic army man shelves and exterior engraving. Get a look at the new folio, as well as some behind the scenes shots from "War Toys" here on Hi-Fructose.
