Mark Ryden’s ‘The Meat Shop’

by Ken HarmanPosted on

This weekend, UK-based readers will get a rare chance to view a new Mark Ryden work as the artist participates in London’s Frieze Art Fair. Created for Paul Kasmin Gallery‘s booth (see our coverage of last year’s solo show at their NYC space here,) “The Meat Shop” continues on the artist’s motifs of charcuterie and the country’s sixteenth president in a slightly toned down and Japanese inspired wooden frame. Last year the artist and gallery presented “Awakening the Moon” (seen here) and from October 13th to the 16th, Londoners will receive another long awaited opportunity to view the new contemporary master’s work in person.
