“Picking Up Where We Left Off” by Yoskay Yamamoto

by CaroPosted on

Following last year’s ‘Familiar Strangers’ show at LeBasse Projects (which we covered here), Yoskay Yamamoto continues on his exploration of sculptural and painted works with ‘Picking Up Where We Left Off.’ The new body of work serves not only as a seamless continuation of his prior with its delicate, sensitive paintings and wooden figures and masks, but also represents a personal reconnection with his own family who had been previously estranged for almost a full decade. Pick up with Yoskay after the jump and get a look at some of his new work and some behind the scenes shots of his sculpture, before his new show opens this Saturday, September 10th.
