‘Candy Coated’ – New Works by Robert Bowen

Zerofriends affiliate and Hi-Fructose fave Robert Bowen recently opened his latest solo show, 'Candy Coated,' here in San Francisco. Bowen's rainbow-tinged portraits run the gamut, straddling the lines of pop and social commentary as subjects such as ODB, Willie Nelson and Princess Leia find themselves vehicles for an exploration into religion, consumerism and Disneyana. The works are on view until September 3rd at Lopo Gallery in San Francisco. Get a look at some of our favorite pieces from the show after the jump.
