Based in Hamburg, Germany, the stencil artist known as Evol has been catching our eye for quite some time. Known primarily for his photorealistic and multi-layered stencils of building facades, Evol stands out amongst the many talented X-acto wielders on a consistent basis for his clever and thought provoking use of environmental context and placement. An industrial setting is usually perfect for the artist’s creation of miniature worlds, however when he arrived at the site of the recent MS Dockville music fest, Evol found only idyllic meadows..
