When we were first introduced to Ben Strawn‘s work last September (seen here), we found the artist’s playful work compelling and refreshing. Upon seeing them in person recently at Gallery 1988 Melrose, consider us fans. The layered effect that his multidimensional paintings take is hard to describe without being seen on something other than a computer screen, but here‘s a walk through video of the show, and a selection of some of our favorite pieces below.
