Gallery 309 in Philadelphia recently opened ‘Space Hunter’ the solo exhibition of artist Heather Gargon. The works are collected in an evidentiary style; her signature sculptures of odd yet friendly creatures are contained in glass cases or as mounted ‘taxidermy’ and are nicely paired with the similarly natured drawings. The gentle creatures, appearing furry or curled around bare breasted woman have a tender, fantastical quality that appeals to all generations. View more of the new work below.
