The Marionettes of Scott Radke

by Ken HarmanPosted on

This weekend, Scott Radke will be bringing his latest solo endeavor “Burlap” to Los Angeles’ Thinkspace Gallery. Radke’s marionettes first caught our eye back in Hi-Fructose Vol. 6, and for “Burlap”, Radke has foraged a cast of creatures from the deep woods of Ohio, some suspended in flight, others with their limbs an extension of their habitat. The expressions on Radke’s figures exudes a quiet sadness though whether it’s because they’ve been removed from their natural environment, or are simply bringing their mystical world to us is hard to say. Get an extensive look at some of the pictures from the show opening tomorrow (Saturday, June 18th) night.
